The main purpose of a hearing assessment is to find out what you can and can’t hear to help you make the best use of the hearing you have left. We also check the health of ears, so if there are any medical issues these can be addressed.
A Hearing Assessment is just like any other medical check-up and like eyes and teeth should be checked regularly. At our clinic, we will ask questions relating to your general health, hearing, and lifestyle, check the general external health of your ears. We will then assess your hearing using an audiometer, which measures your hearing sensitivity at different frequencies. We will explain the results of your hearing assessment to you and if you do have a hearing loss, explain the options available.
Being independent hearing care providers, we guarantee you clear, uncomplicated and unbiased advice on all hearing matters and best choice of hearing aids currently available.
We do not do ‘online hearing tests’ as these are not accurate, the success of your hearing aids will be limited without full audiometric testing.
Hearing aids are clinical devices and need to be prescribed and fitted by a trained professional.
